Ongoing Service Disruption Due to a Potential DDoS Attack

We are concluding this incident report.

Upon thorough examination, it has been determined that the outage stemmed from a dual assault: a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack coupled with internal amplification, triggered by a cold cache scenario, resulting in escalated database load.

In order to fortify our systems against such occurrences in the future, we are implementing a feature across select systems to augment cache retention temporarily. This measure will empower us to swiftly alleviate strain on our database servers should a comparable event arise again.
